a common it software development term used to describe a request, generally from a manager to a developer, to just get it done (jfdi) and don’t worry about testing or doc-mentation or any other formal development requirement.

a term commonly used in business where a team member is placing unnecessary barriers in the way of completing a tast, usually due to a lack of experience or an unwillingness to complete the task itself. this in turn reduces the colleague or manager to shout jfdi as a more politically correct method of saying ‘just f—— do it!’
team member 1 – oh but we can’t do that because the reports weren’t filed and we need to place a full request within 3 days of the initial incident and i haven’t had a cup of tea!
