similar to a hanshake except instead of grabbing the whole hand, the partic-p-nts grab onto the base of the thumb.
originates from mid 80’s black hip-hop culture but is now an accepted greeting among all brothas
variations include bending the fingers after release, snapping ones fingers or even a fist pound in some cases.
since i have a diverse group of friends, i often have to switch from the handshake to the jiveshake.
