when you are having a face-to-face conversation with an individual that is interrupted by them taking a cell call and they put you on hold by holding up an index finger indicating that this call is more important than talking to you. a rude gesture made by an insignificant person receiving an insignificant call.
i was talking to my sister when her cell rang and she abruptly gave me the just a minute finger.
