kerala is a state in the southern part of india.it is on the west coast.the capital is thiruvananthapuram (formerly known as trivandrum). it is the state with the highest literacy(near 100%)and human development index in india. it is famous for its greenery, backwaters, ayurveda, beaches, making it a hot destination for tourists, leading to the moniker -“gods own country”. the language is malayalam and the residents are called malayali. the malayali diaspora is widespread especially in usa n the middle east.
