kiasunomics
the study of the kiasu behaviors of singaporeans, such as citizens camping outside mcdonald’s past midnight to buy h-llo kitty dolls; and parents lying about their home address to ensure that their child gets a place in a good school.
kiasunomics not only exposes the selfish or greedy side of the ugly singaporean, but on the lighter side, it also reveals an att-tude or a mindset that is anything but complacent and contented.
