when children mispr-nounce a word to create a funny word or faux paus, especially when it sticks. e-roos is an example.
a boy named patrick is forever known as “packy” because his friend in kindergarten couldn’t pr-nounce his name. such kidspeak is common. i thought my daughter would never know that animals are not “aminals.”
