kokeshi doll
a kokeshi doll, or kokeshi, is a doll native to j-pan, and is usually hand-made out of wood. it consists of one, somewhat phallic shape, and a large head. there are no limbs like a typical american doll, but rather, they are painted on the doll by an artisan. they come in a different sizes and variations, and are used for decorations as well as child’s play.
1: “hey, is this a kokeshi doll, or a d-ld-?”
