kuduru

a musical genre, based mostly on african sounds mixed with dance or techno elements. usually has one catchy bit, and it’s just repeated from the begining to the end of the song with some african dude saying random words which usually make no sense at all like “food! gunshot! television! rice! shoes!”.

kuduru is typical from portuguese speaking countries (portugal and it’s old colonies, now ran by ex-slaves and slavers, who still explore their former servants).
a real lyric taken from a kuduru song “estou fazendo arroz!” that’s repeated all over until the end of the track. (it means “i’m cooking rice”)
