lemming

a member of a crowd with no originality or voice of his own. one who speaks or repeats only what he has been told. a tool. a cretin.
“ya think he’ll do it?”
“he’s a lemming, he’ll do anything he’s told.”
a lemming refers to a purchase/wished-for-item which results from reading an enthusiastic post about a new fabulous product. overcome by compulsion, readers follow like lemmings diving off a cliff.

originally coined in the alt.fashion newsgroup in the late 90s, the term has permeated numerous beauty boards/forums/sites.

may be used as a noun or verb. may apply to the buyer but more commonly to the item of desire.

a flemming is a fledgeling lemming.

a derogatory term used to reference a person who seemingly does not possess any form of individual thought, and instead, mindlessly follows the behaviors and actions of the m-sses.

common actions lemmings partake in are the overuse of catch phrases and lingp that the generation may overuse.
when jimmy told me “l2play”, i knew he was one of those lemmings who just mindlessly repeats the same thing the millions of other lemmings blab out. poor guy, not a single thought process of his own in his head.
1) a small, short-tailed rodent which lives in the tundra. it is said that large groups of these animals come together every so often to jump off of a cliff. on the contrary, they fall off quite by accident. it is also said that disney filmed them doing this by moving them to unfamiliar territory.

1. a small rat like creature. if one lemming jumps off a cliff all of the lemmings will jump off with it.

2. a person that follows another person and does everything the same as the person they are following.

a person with no opinion of their own. they only act like the other people in their group because they tink that if they act like themselves they will lose their”friends” that only like the fake person that the person acts like.
