band featuring mike mainieri on vibraphone, tony levin on b-ss, and steve gadd on drums. they played jazz, and were d-mn good at it. the name was based off of a book. they were around in the early 70’s. if you want to see them play, the only video i know of them is from steve gadd’s drumming dvd.
