Little Jenny
(1) an obnoxious person who contradicts others often for the purpose of showing off. the contradiction is typically irrelevant or unimportant. a reference to an article or journal is usually included as support for the contradiction.
(2) any irrelevant contradiction, usually preceded by the following phrases: actually, just so you know, you’re wrong.
n.b. nearly everyone in the world is a little jenny.
“wow the sky is so clear today,” says john.
jenny chimes in, “actually, you’re wrong. there’s one cloud in the sky. i read in an article that the sky has to be completely free of clouds in order to be considered clear.”
“don’t be such a little jenny,” john replies, slapping jenny across the back of the head.
