lying to make friends, a person who puts out a statement to enhance their social status, but in truth is a complete lie and is only saying this to impress.
an example of ltmf would be a situation like this you are in a club or pub with some friends and someone u don’t know comes up with:

“so did i ever tell you the story of when i b-mped into keanu reeves? and we are now quite good friends”……ltmf
