a lurker bee is an office worker who roams the hallways to peer into meeting rooms or randomly joins conference calls to be nosy.
the opposite of a worker bee. instead of providing value to the organization they spend their time being nosy about what everyone else is doing.
we had a random lurker bee join our meeting who did nothing but surf the internet and distract the other members.
