MA2B
the widely known -ssault rifle of the halo books.
a cut-down version of the standard-issue ma5b -ssault rifle. it’s tough and reliable, with electronic targeting and an ammo supply indicator. it also has a recoil-reduction system, and could deliver an impressive fifteen rounds per second.
it is not seen in the halo video games, but is described in the halo books such as: halo: the fall of reach, halo: first strike, halo: the flood, and halo: the ghosts of onyx.
john chose the ma2b as the right weapon for the mission.
whilst linda chose the srs99c-92 sniper rifle.
