the act of ignoring truths or uncomfortable facts for the sake of prepping up one’s own agenda even if the facts stack up against it.
cindy showed a great deal of malignorance on the topic of illegal immigration despite the truthful stat-tsics shown to her by her friend. as a result, she still voted for hillary clinton and thought “as long as it’s real in my mind… it’ll be all ok”
