Manart
manart means, “manufactured art”. it is something which looks like it was crafted by an artist, such as a sculpture, but was in fact manufactured based on a pre-determined specification.
manart is often designed by those with no artistic experience, such as by decisions on committees or boards of directors.
person 1: the new sculptures in the town centre are wonderful; they make the place look so much better.
person 2: they are typical manart. no artist was involved, the council just ordered them from spec.
