when you are involved in an instant message (facebook, google chat, etc.) conversation with more than three people; can result in exesssive and annoying notifications and confussion you are not actively involved in the conversation.
i just logged onto facebook and had 47 messages because diane included me in this crazy m-ssversation with a bunch of people, and i have no idea what they are talking about.
