master roshi, and master shen’s master. he saved the world from king piccolo by using the mafuba (evil containment wave in the english dub), and dies because of it. he meets with goku in the past as part of his training, but goku is no match for him. this is curious seeing how goku was able to defeat king piccolo prior to his training, and master mutaito is no match for king piccolo despite this. it may be his superior fighting technique and goku’s lack of mental discipline that make him able to beat him.
master mutaito’s hairstyle is the same as the wig master roshi wore when disguised as jackie chun.
