maturity inflation


the increase of the average age to achieve basic financial independence over time. it is similar to currency inflation in that a certain number in one decade is not as valuable in a latter decade.

maturity inflation rates may vary based on national origin, culture, socioeconomic status, gender, etc.
back in the 50’s, people were adults when they turned 18. in the 90’s it was 27, but now days you aren’t really an adult until 30. maturity inflation is a b-tch.
