Mechanical Animals
an alb-m released by marilyn manson in 1998–the alb-m with the infamous t-ttied redheaded alien cover. consisting mostly of well-produced glam rock (incuding “the dope show”), it served as the narrative sequel to the 1996 alb-m antichrist superstar (though a lot of people never quite figured out how that worked exactly). it is considered by many (though not all) to be the band’s best alb-m to date.
a: did you know that the t-tle “mechanical animals” is an anagram for “is an alchemical man”? so the cover really says “marilyn manson is an alchemical man.”

i just bought mechanical animals the other day, and it f-ckin rocked!
is a d-mn good 70’s glam rock-inspired alb-m from the 90’s. if david bowie was doing a glam rock homage in the 90’s, this would be the alb-m he’d have written.
he’d also have t-ts if he was redoing the aladdin sane alb-m cover.
greg burk of la weekly once wrote that mechanical animals is one of the greatest alb-ms of the 90’s. small wonder lady gaga is copying this era of marilyn manson.
