a diatribe about a diatribe. when a person makes a bitter or strong attack or argument about someone having an argument. not to be mistaken with partic-p-ting within the argument; the metatribe is complaining about the existence of an argument at all.
argument a: “pc is better.”
argument b: “mac is better.”
metatribe: “this entire discussion is stupid, and here’s an entire book on why i think talking about this is terrible. my bias might show through the argument, but i’m so sick of seeing the argument that i’m going to tell you for a year.”
