n. the condition of being a diehard new york mets fan. basically, a person in metology will defend to the death the mets. metologists can’t stand anything degrading against their team. the opposite of metology is yankisism.
yankist: did you see the game last night?
metologist: what game?
yankist: the one where those stupid -ss mets lost. i was rolling.
metologist: what the f-ck did you just say, you d-mn yank!
yankist: you got metology don’t you?
