a person residing in an urban or suburban area that has a sense for trends and what is “hip” a few years ahead of the time this said trend becomes mainstream. these people tend to be involved in a new cutting edge technology in one way or another.
this term metropolitician was popularized by the beastie boys music group on their alb-med t-tled song released in 1995.
