1. akin to being a “night owl”, this describes an altered state of being wherein one is rescued from the brink of exhaustion in the waning hours of the evening. this usually happens in the full knowledge that the affected party must be up early the next morning.
2. one’s “second wind” utilized during the wee hours of the morning.
