Modifacture
the act of modifying existing tools, instruments, or systems, to generate new productive capabilities. not specific to software or hardware, a new tool can be modifactured out of anything. similar to hacking and modding but focused on productivity.
kid 1: “that guy just modifactured this tool from a broken printer, a camera, a hot glue gun, a motor, and a hammer!”
kid 2: “cool!”
