another name for a big nasty purple hickey. typically found on or near the neck.

to bite someone in affection- generally on the neck. monkey bites can vary in terms of severity; they could be a huge purple hickey, or just a sweet nip on the neck. some can leave teeth marks. some don’t.
my boyfriend’s into monkey bites, so usually after i leave his place i look like a bear attacked me.
