a buffed, studly, distinguished person or animal. must not be too pretty; for example: robert redford was always a m-ff moose but brad pitt is not. a siberian husky is a m-ff moose but an afghan is not, yet a bold character may imbue a jack russell terrier with the quality of “m-ffyness”. the term originated in placerville, ca and spread to the coastal and tahoe areas of the state, becoming popular in the lgbt communities of those regions. it is now common to hear the term used in gay communities of major metropolitan areas and in those from whence it originated.
