an annual formal event at the harvard business school, meant to emphasize and celebrate the social climbing character, wasp-ishness, the desire for affluence and elitism of the school’s students through a live reenactment of the life of the ultra-rich (but with cheaper props).
i’m not confident i’m trying hard enough to be exactly like those successful hbs gards who made wall street what it is today. i have to go to newport ball to improve my social acceptance score.
