low income housing that tends to resemble shacks. they are usually inhabited by members of the african american community. of course people of other races can live in these types of houses but the comedy value of the phrase relies on stereotypes. it is to be used by those who are genuinely racist or find humor in the concept of racist but are not racist themselves.
person 1: you know i went downtown last night to see some show, actually i was kind of dragged to it.

person 1: f-ck thats what i was tryin figure out, it wasnt even good. on the way back i was worried, we drove through a neighborhood of n-gg-r shacks.
a rental house occupied by a black family, where the carpet is filthy, a big screen tv fills the living room, there is one chair, and a nasty dirty bed in the back room where all the kids sleep together, the boys molest the girls, and the house smells like sh-t.
if it’s not a rental, it will be a “pre-forclosure” and the house will also look like cr-p, there may be holes in the floor, the carpet will be 40 years old and frayed, the walls will look nasty, and the house will have an odor of crack pipe
