Nob Hill
famous neighborhood in san francisco (often called the center/heart of sf, but actually the north-east corner) surrounded by california, pacific, powell, and hyde streets (because of the cable car lines that outline it). surrounding neigborhoods are: the tenderloin, russian hill, chinatown, the embarcadero, pacific heights, north beach, telegraph hill, and fisherman’s wharf. bus lines through n-b hill: 1 california and 12 fillmore. cable cars: powell-mason and powell-hyde lines and california line.
many of the foremost hotels grace n-b hill (the fairmont, the mark-hopkins, and the huntington hotel) along with grace cathedral and huntington park.
