overabundance of all things autumn starting in october – retail shops offering everything halloween and octoberfest related, restaurants selling everything with pumpkin flavor – desserts, liquor, c-cktails, etc.
the house had been adorned with octoberfestation, including a corn cob wreath, pumpkins, and scarecrows.
