on a break baby – is when someone, usually a man, has a child while “on a break” from a serious relationship. (i.e. long-time girlfriend or fiancé). when news of the love child with the “side piece” or “jump-off” is revealed, the man’s only option is to confess to fathering a child while “on a break” of the relationship.”
ex. did you hear that joe and lisa are engaged and expecting a baby?
that’s great news! i didn’t know lisa was pregnant.
she’s not. joe had an “on break baby” when he and lisa were broken up.
