originally a quote from series 1 of the inbetweeners, now used when a group of friends are hanging around and then someone that knows one person but n-body else in the group gets involved (comes up, phones up, drives up) and ‘ooh friend’ is used by the rest of the group.
usually followed by a denial of the friendship by the person who was ‘known’.
“allright mate?”
“h-llo mate”
rest of group: “ooh friend!”
“he is not my f-cking friend”.
