orphaned drink


1. (descriptive noun) a drink that is abandoned on purpose. originates from those at parties who get a drink to fit in with the crowd but truly do not want to drink, leading to placing the drink in a convenient location where it cannot be identified with its original owner, thus giving others the impression that the original owner drank it already and is thus partying like the rest of the crowd.
2. (verb) “to orphan”. the act of abandoning the drink.
1. jash: “dude, someone left a gl-ss of scotch on the counter!”
jon: “oh that was sandpit. if you pour him something, consider it an orphaned drink.”

2. joe: “that guy keeps getting drinks without finishing his old ones!”
