Orpheon
n. the nickname of drummer, thomas tierney and name of local rutherford nj band orpheon. the nickname is derived as a joke from local single artist, chris reyes, better known as kail. thomas was recognized from orpheon one day in gym cl-ss by kail and the nickname was formed. the band long since broke up but the name stuck as a souvenir of the band and its local contributions…which were limited.
“yo orpheon!” -kail
“hey man; whats up bro?” -orpheon
“you guys playing at the next show at the library?” -kail
“dude i told you 3 minutes ago, the band broke up last year”- orpheon
