it is commonly used to describe a person’s limited s-xual appeal. in this sense it is acceptable to use for describing either males or females.

another use is to describe food of low or unfavourable quality.

origin: perhaps from english paucity, from middle english paucite, from latin paucitas, meaning smallness of number, scarcity, or dearth.
look at that pauce woman over there, ugh.
