Pfaffism
1 the religious practice or ethical logic based on the teachings or musical proverbs of a certain musical professor at suny plattsburgh and designating him as a minor deity in the order of musical gods and goddesses.
2 a phrase characteristic of said professor from plattsburgh, ny often but not necessarily relating to counterpoint or the academic study of cl-ssical music. examples may include “that’s a s-xy texture in that counterpoint,” “many things will become clear for you this weekend,” or, after talking about wagner’s 25 year opera, “it’s a wonder if you live that long, you could’ve been run over by a meat wagon.”
