in hacker lexicon, phishhooking is the act of hooking a target of a phishing email. phishing is sending a malicious e-mail, hoping to steal credentials or other information from an unsuspecting netizen. hooking a fish is catching a fish. so if we have phished a valuable corporate target, we “phishhooked” them. it is the hacker’s state of having succeeded at a phishing attempt, and a victim’s state of compromised security after a phishing attack.
