planned rejection
a strategy that recently divorced people, trying to get back into the dating scene, use to experience rejection as they re-insert themselves into the dating scene. the objective is to deliberately experience rejection by someone who is known to be unattainable (owing to relationship status, cl-ss, or behavioural and physical attributes), in order to overcome a fear of rejection.
