Pokéaboo
a fusion between the word “pokémon” and “weeabo”, it refers to one who downloaded the app pokémon go just to join the bandwagon of people who are also playing it. this person almost always has very poor knowledge of the pokémon franchise (anime, games, lore, etc.) to the point of them once in a while say really stupid things, make terrible -ssociations or just be in general a noob.
“i saw a couple of teenagers playing pokémon go in the park last night, so i decided to bring some nostalgia back by playing the first opening of the pokémon anime. i lowered my car’s window, cranked up the volume and played it. when it started, they turned their faces to me and started to stare at me like if i was some weird guy with strange music tastes. it kept going like that until the word “pokémon” was blared out, to then they turn back to their phones and completely ignore me.
i don’t think i wanna live in a world with pokéaboos…”
