to pollard is when a man, openly says to his girlfriend, wife or lover (male or female) that he is not in the relationship for love.
example.
man: “i don’t love you as much as you love me.”
woman/man 2: “f-ck you, you f-cking f-cker b-st-rd, you’re dumped.”
man 3: “you done pollard that b-tch”
the action of bailing out when one is already committed to the task in hand
