the town of pontefract’s affectionate name. dubbed ‘pontecarlo’ due to it’s striking resemblance to monte carlo, with it’s beautiful scenery and vibrant night life. the peak attraction for the evening being ‘big fella’s’, a cl-ssy discotheque of the highest order. twinned with casvegas (castleford, yorkshire), pontecarlo’s rival sibling.
