Power Babe
(n.) the word “babe,” or any other endearing term when used in a professional or otherwise inappropriate setting to -ssert dominance. if used properly, it can be slipped into a conversation as a direct address toward a professional superior to demonstrate a disregard for the power that the other person should have. it is often (but not always) preceded or followed by the word “c’mon.”
matt: why did you call the boss “babe?” that was really inappropriate.
jeff: i had to drop a power babe to calm the boss down and show that i am in control of the situation.
