pre-bus
when a person or group stacks or otherwise organizes the used plates, cups, and wares at their table in a restaurant after a meal, either in preparation to self-bus the table or as a sometimes useful, sometimes unnecessary, compulsive or oddly motivated prepping of the table before the waiters clear it.
“there’s no room on the table. you wanna pre-bus?” (indicating stacking the plates)
