Pre-doc
refers to a student (usu. college undergraduate) with aspirations for phd and/or medical degree (md). unlike pre-med, pre-doc does not carry the stigma attached to it.
college student 1: hey, i noticed that your taking a lot of science cl-sses. are you premed?
college student 2: naw, i m pre-doc!!!
