Preshadowing
something in a feature film that is said, gesticulated, or implied that either directly or indirectly references a preceding event.
there was preshadowing at the end of the pc commercial, the pre-teen with the irritating voice announced, “i’m a pc,” while that was already deduced whilst he purchased the cheap laptop.
a line in a book/mobie/tv show that references something that has already occured in said piece. opposite of foreshadowing.
there was a ton of preshadowing in high school musical 3.
