prole


as in other definitions, used to describe a person deemed of a lower, more worthless social rank. created by george orwell in his book “nineteen eighty-four”, to describe the lower insignificant cl-sses of the fantastical british state.
“the proles are out on the streets causing trouble again.”
from “proletarian” meaning wage-earner or worker. the shortened version being a derogatory term used by the middle and upper cl-sses to deride the working cl-ss majority.
oh tarquin, look at those wretched proles. set the hounds on them.

1. a member of the working cl-ss (not necessarily employed)
2. a person whose only contribution to the ongoing of the community is to produce offspring and pay taxes

a person who is so uninformed and so stupid, they are literally incapable of ever having a chance of developing any kind of political, social, or economic importance or power.
