proxtyl


a proxtyl is a synonym for a gadget, gizmo, doodad, doohickey, contraption, or a device. it is also a part or component of a piece of machinery. normally, the word is used as a kind of shorthand method of pointing out some kind of mechanical thing that may be difficult to cl-ssify or the speaker has forgotten or does not know the the thing’s name.
the car broke down, but i don’t know what’s wrong. i guess some proxtyl needs fixing or replacing.

i dropped my cell phone, and it broke. i must have broken some proxtyl inside of it.
