dates back to thursday, may 7, 2009, when a student at east meadow high school, who will be known only as “russian”, overslept the ap english literature and composition exam.

kid 1: hey how was the ap lit exam?
kid 2: it was so easy! there wasn’t even a poem, and the essays were incredibly easy! probably, the easiest in years! it’s a shame about russian though.
kid 1: what’d russian do?
kid 2: he overslept and wasn’t allowed into the exam room. no doubt that the make up exam will be much more difficult.
thus, the term to “pull a russian” was born.
