qliché
something which is either repet-tive or “mainstream” in a new or unexpected fashion.
in art, when a subject matter is cliché , it is sketched too often. likewise, when an object is qliché, it is something that may be repet-tive, but drawn in such a fashion that it appears to be new. it is still equally as cliché in subject matter as it was before, but the chances of people noticing at a glance are lowered dramatically.
art teacher: “skulls and cross bones again? can’t you think of anything new? now, this! this is something new!”
student: “what are you talking about? that’s completely qliché! it’s just the mona lisa made with coffee stains!”
